Well in the USCG they didn't, except to officers. I don't know how old that KickassFacts is either.

Just in my lifetime....they have added all the elements from 105 and onward.

I' just noticed, that I'm 14 elements old.

My father retired from the Coast Guard 6 or 7 years ago as an E8 and they taught him celestial nav.

I got out in '82

United States Navy taught it until 1995 then in 2015 they just reinstated it as a class. It was deemed to be outdated. They are reteaching it due to cyber attacks.

I knew I read it in Military Times just had to research it again.

Same as the USCG. They taught it to officers, those at the Naval Academy. Since they reinstated it, they are now teaching it to everyone.

The USCG uses the same training manuals that the USN does, that's why I was wondering.
