Science is a religion given the Latin root (etymology) of the word.
That of Religare - to bind. If science is to be taken at face value based off the observations of other people, it would imply some level of faith-based believing. Since science is touted as law, it would mean that factual based science is binding. Science is a religion.
The difference between science and the Bible is that science is constantly disproving itself and evolving its definitions and view points whereas the Bible remains the same since its genesis.
So far the Bible has yet to be disproved. The more one tries to disprove the Holy Scriptures, the more complicated their answer becomes.
