Alright, let's pretend people are overclocking their epyc/28+ core xeon servers, let's also pretend AMD just randomly glues their modules together ala the hilarious Intel slide which is bereft of actual arguments against their competitor... You win.

read edit you are assuming way too much

Alright, you believe it's going to kill overclocking, I believe the ability to pair modules that consume low power and generate less heat at the target clocks and voltages will result in even better odds if core count and process maturity is equal to the monolithic chips.

It's just opinions in the end, I think higher latency as you add more modules is a better argument to make against MCM than 'muh overclocking'

to be fair you started it by asserting infinity fabric is the reason ryzen cannot get above 4ghz, which seems extremely anecdotal since single die chips are capping out at that too. It's the arch itself that needs refining.

single die chips are capping at 5hz been since sandy bridge days many users here got 5hz on theirs many times

like I said I have my reasonings why I havent gone to a loop after watching how limited multi die or complete soc are on silicone I cant go with a loop right now
my 1080tis would what get cooler yes but still hit the wall at 2200 maybe unless I did voltage shit
my 8700k would what do 5.3 if im lucky oh wow a whole 400-500 mhz but would help on avx shit though but thats hardly used right now

c2d/c2q were actually pretty amazing overclockers but yeah you were looking at 400-600mhz avg out of a phenom II... 700-800 if lucky they really used a lot of power even out of the box. dono about athlon x2's i never oc'd one
