anyway 8400 is a scam, most wont run at 3.8 6 core turbo, especially on lower end boards. my theory is they only sent the golden chips that do out to reviewers and purposefully turned MultiCore Enhancement on to fudge the numbers (the second thing is demonstrably true). Wider stack and they can always fall back on "but we only guaranteed 2.8ghz!" when ppl are getting like 3.1-3.2 ghz avg with all cores in use on an avg mobo and avg chip

this is what im referring to by all-core turbo

i don't have reliable sources for my claims it just stands to reason, and it's also supported by intel no longer revealing per-core turbo's after this release.

yes I know about that read many topics on it, it most likely will be another silicone lottery on that aspect

but 3.8 all core is nice

jaytwocents retested his k benches because of mce being on by default on asus boards, lowered the results alittle if you didnt read that or seen that yet
