yea i honestly didnt know a heat sink is that much of an issue. and also didnt understand why he didnt buy a new cooler from the beginning.

but still doesnt really explain why he couldnt install 64bit

i dont understand how he's even booting without a heatsink. is it just a fan taped onto the socket?

As for 64bit, it's most likely user error.
Dl 64bit iso from Microsoft and create USB startup and reinstall it. And no, u don't just drag the file into USB, you gotta tell him to create it as a startup

what is 'it'?
I don't know of any cooler that has no heatsink from any era that would fit on an lga 1151 board
