Write heavy programs like Cad / Photoshop / etc use the extra bandwidth though.

run it in dual channel once that mobo could be picky on single channel

dimms 2 and 4

bios a5 is system stability one
but a6 is most recent

I just fixed this same kind of issue for a friend

There was a setting in his BIOS where you could reserve a certain amount of RAM for your internal GPU. Even though he had a GTX 1060 and wasn't using his iGPU this setting was still enabled and set to 1GB on his MOBO. I simply disabled it and wham, ez 8GB RAM.

You sure you didn't overlook something in BIOS?
