420$ for 4 for yours

250$ for 4 for mine.

keep spewing

Small price difference compared to the quality difference. I could also suggest speakers that are only 130$ for 4 speakers but you are downgrading dramatically. AA Monitors are by far best budget speakers you can get today and like said already, you are better with good stereo pair vs poor 5.0 setup.

210$ for speaker pair is still beginner level. Klipsch is known to be really bright and for that reason is not recommended often. My speakers have flat response as well but still my friend says that highs on some songs hurts hes ears, Klipsch how ever have strong highs and quite many people have said thay they cant stand them. AA Monitors have really flat response and are true for the recordings and wont hurt your ears.

Of course choise is hes but he has to live with the choise he makes.

Which is fine and all, But pretty sure the guy just wants a budget 5.1 setup.

$420 for speakers & 200~ for the reciever isnt 'budget' in a lot of peoples view.

Btw 5.1 is really overrated most of the time. OP what are you going to use them with? Games? Movies? Music? (because there is no 5.1 music anyway)

If you have limited budget, I'd suggest starting with GOOD 2.0 setup (2.1 since you already have sub) and then, when you have some free funds again, add central and then rear. It will sound infinitely better.

There is 5.1 music.

Just not a whole lot of it. He's hooking it up to his TV, So obviously it'd be for tv/movies.
