I had two sets of corsair dominator ram that would crash my system randomly.
Took 4 months to narrow down the issue, despite both sets working flawlessly in memtestx86 they would not play nice outside it.
I ended up rma'ing the sets for a single set with corsair. Your probably going to have to do the same as the ram probably has
a different revision number and its conflicting over minute changes in the ram itself between the revisions.

/edit
This is one of those freak issues that arise with mix matching ram kits and why we strongly oppose it unless necessary.
oh and didn't you have a tag once? what happened there.

Well I'm actually wondering if there are other tests I should run. Currently it fails in aida64 but it simply says "detected hardware failure, test stop"
Ill be honest im ignorant on using memtest. So I'm going to dig deeper into that now. I was using it before, but didn't really understand/want to run on each individual stick.

As for mixing...well i had 4 sticks, rma'd 2 faulty ones. didn't think id have to rma 2 non faulty ones, but i may have to now.
and tag, i cant be certain that im allowed to discuss anything related. i will say, it wasnt anything interesting or that you'd really care if you didn't hear.

Run memtestx86 with all sticks.
If you get 1 error before you get 7 passes then test stick by stick if all pass then its a kit issue. once again though its not 100% accurate.
See if company will advance ship you a new set. say ever since you got last set you get bsod's and noticed it from the kits being together.
corsair took my sets back and gave me a single set equaling the two i had.

lol i'm always curious, and you saying you can't discuss what happened to yourself is making me want to know more. :(

Well It's primarily because I myself don't have enough info to know if it's okay to tell people things like that, otherwise I would indulge your curiosity :p

I couldn't get memtest to not freeze with all 4 ram pieces in....lol. so ive tested just 2 at a time (mixed 1 old + 1 rma) no issues. it really is appearing to be purely these 2 kits of PNY anarchy ram that just wont play well together :/, but they specifically need to be in a config of 3 or 4 to crash.
like i said i can even mix any of these 4 pny sticks with some 2 corsair sticks and 100% stable...so gonna have to go for another rma -.-

It's a pretty good thing I ignored you on the 7 pass part (unintentionally). lol

Another fun new discovery is after this test, I tried testing just the one piece of ram by itself. system wouldn't even boot. More fun, it's actually one of the new sticks and it's the only stick that my PC won't boot in. So I think I have found the Culprit. For some reason the new sticks just dont causes errors in aidas when being tested by themselves. or i need more time to expose it. either way, I think this mystery might be solved. Faulty RMA stick.

i straight up said..
"once again though its not 100% accurate."

I just use 7 as a good number for most issues.
in any event glad you found the issue.

I know, but that's why I included, unintentionally. I was trying to be funny. sorry about that miscommunication.
Has anyone ever had an issue where they got faulty products back from an RMA?

If they just sent a new set...it's possible. Just had a DOA stick.

I like Corsair or G.Skill...least amount of DOAs...from what I've seen.

/e NO ...DOAs from Corsair at all. But I always get Dominators.

Well I would damn hope dominators don't die. Haha. this ram is for a customer though so it was kind of a budget build. i grabbed these sticks for 21 dollars back when ram wasn't crazy.

but i will definitely look back on this ram experience poorly if they dont email me back soon...i emailed them twice. once formally, once informally (i emailed the tech who helped me with the rma).
