Who the hell cares how the thing looks? Macs are garbage.

Let's not mention the new macbook with only type C connections.. Name 3 reasons it's worth the price they want.

Customer service is #1, which is why you pay such high premiums.

Honestly, that or the MSI is probably more cost effective than the Razer Balde. But like I pointed out before, I decided on the Razer for the looks (I'm into sleek and thin laptops; anything bulky and/or plastic is a nono). In either case, almost anything will be a HUGE upgrade from my 2011 Alienware M14x.

Money isn't an issue for me here, nor is which laptop "model." I simply wanted to see what everyone's opinions were on Full HD vs QHD+. So far here is what I've taken from it in terms of pros/cons:

Full HD
Matte Design (No glare on screen)
Better viewing angles (Not sure how useful this is as I only view my laptop from 1 angle anyway)
Better battery life (by 1-2 hours)
Better performance for gaming (higher fps; I assume due to less CPU usage to render graphics etc?)
More cost effective
Better program support?

QHD+
Better picture quality and words are more clear (which alone will sell me on the laptop as long as I don't have to sacrifice performance and run into compatibility issues)
Offers touch screen option (I'll never use this because I'm OCD and cant stand finger prints on my screen)
Can set to 1920x1080 resolution for gaming if needed? (Need to confirm this one; someone in "source 2" mentioned it can only go down to 1600x900 resolution. Which is less sharp than 1080p.)
"Future proof"

Anything past 1080P on any laptop right now is a waste of money. Unless you have a full fledged gtx 1080 in the thing then you should never go past 1080p.

Not sure if this is true, but I don't see why anyone would lie on the topic of laptop comparisons

From what I've gathered in my relentless research on this very subject...
QHD Razer Blade -IGZO QHD+ screen has 100% Adobe RGB Color gamute -Lots of apps do not scale well and look distorted, some people even report a strange lag like motion blur to image -Battery life is a bit worse (1-2 hours) -Screen is glossy and is essentially a mirror when sunlight comes in contact -Pixels per inch is (imo) too high for distance of usage to notice the extra crispyness -10 Finger touch screen
HD Screen Blade -1080p LED Backlit screen -No issues with scaling since most apps are designed around this resolution -No reported blur -Battery life is longer -Color gamute is about 70% of Adobe RGB (perfectly ok unless you are a graphics artist of some kind) -Matte screen, little to no glare on screen -No touch
and to answer your question: besides colors looking better on the QHD, the resolution will be too high and yes you will get slower fps at that resolution. Secondly, its not true 4k. Its more like 3k. So in order to have a more normal looking downscaled image, you would need to use a 1600x900 resolution. Which is less sharp than 1080p.

same aspect ratio 16:9,
you can use many 16:9 resolutions just fine there is a long list of them, you can just dial it down to 2880x1620,1440p,2048x1152, or 1080p could even go lower if you wish all are 16:9 ratio
I currently use 5760x1080@144hz
I have dialed it down to 4800x900 and even 4098x768 just to acquire 144fps on certain games
