Pegatron is owned by Asus. Something I just found out.

/e HP seems to have had removed 2 RAM slots and a few PCI slots etc.
Or had ASUS do it for them. ??

True, but that's not a Pegatron board. Just a very old board.

Why must you always argue when it's in black and white?

Edit:

Even more clarification for you

It's still an ASUS board, HP just had it butchered for their use.

/e Yes, Pegatron is made by ASUS for HP's use, and renamed Pegatron.

Read my edit please. They've been around for a while and were bought out by Asus.

Here's more info for you to choke on. For years I told people that ASrock was owned by Asus and everyone said they weren't. So, I was wrong. ASRock is owned by Pegatron who is owned by Asus. Each making their own branded motherboards.

So, again you're wrong and you'll start some big pissy argumen over it again like you do every night then get frustrated and kick your neighbor.

Do you understand how a parent company works? In 2010 Asus started the spinoff company Pegatron. However, if Pegatron was completely owned by Asus then why would they have had to buy ASRock from Pegatron? Because while Asus is the PARENT company they have very little control over Pegatron, That is why the stocks are sold independently.

Here is a little more clarification for you.

ASUS To Completely End Manufacturing of its Motherboards, Notebooks by Pegatron
ASUS and Pegatron are headed for a complete split as far as motherboards and notebooks are concerned. Following reports of ASUSTek divesting in its former part and partner after split, Pegatron, ASUS plans to end manufacturing of its motherboards by it. ASUS will find other ODMs, such as Cal-Comp, ECS, Global-Brands Manufacture, and Info-Tek Corp. Pegatron is a notable ODM of motherboards, notebooks, AIO PCs, and other PC components. ASUS is also working to get its notebooks manufactured by ODMs such as Foxconn, Quanta, and Compal, while reducing its orders to Pegatron. This move could see further independence of ASUS and Pegatron from each other.
