Is the case for display purposes, or is it what you're actually using?

If it's the latter, amazing choice of case, I love my 800D.

You will notice a minimal heat difference between the two in either configuration.

I nulled.

Neither. Basic rules of water cooling.
Res then pump always.

The head pressure of the d5 will eliminate any difference in temperature from the gpu to cpu.

I was about to say that. lol I guess I missed this thread by a few days huh? :P

Quote (ghot @ 3 Aug 2012 05:07)
You got a valid review that sez that?

It's common WC knowledge.

Quote (YourHopeAnDream @ 3 Aug 2012 05:12)
No its pulling the water from the pics u have so if u where to put the pump b4 the res its pushing the liquid through the res and then cpu large rad gpu small rad then pump
Im not sure if im right just talking from my REALLY basic knowlege i might be completely wrong

Yes in essence the pump sucks the water out of the res and pushes it through the look. BUT! Once the water hits the res like in my Bay Res, the flow slows down unless you use a tube res which gives better flow rates.

I would assume my watercooling experience would be enough, but if i have to explain.
You are running the pump dry the minute you start the system.

The temperature difference between the CPU & GPU is so minimal the loop order is invalid, the water flow of the d5 is so quick, it makes no difference.

This. NN website.

And if you want better performance just add another pump for the lulz.

That would be funny actually. AND EXPENSIVE! YIKES! But the D5 like my VPP655 push 1500 lph so it's really over kill.

Quote (ghot @ 3 Aug 2012 05:22)
Well Priming the system should eliminate the air...correct?

You can't "prime" a WC loop. If you let the pump run dry you could essentially destroy it. Like my VPP655 has no moving parts. All ball bearing and magnetic if I remember correctly. Running dry would cause the pump to fry itself from excessive force.

Twin d5's are funny to watch, its tricky filling a 150ml reservoir up with two d5's sucking. :D
My first rig had barbs, i had twin d5's pop the tube off the barb, 100psi pressure with 10f head will do that i guess :p

The loop is still longer than it needs to be.
shortest loop is always the most efficient.

Wow! Did water go all over or anything get destroyed? Yeah shortest loop is better and looks better IMO. Unless of course you are trying to impress someone who has never seen a WC'd PC then the more tubes, lights, and colors you have going on the "better" it must be. lol

did i see a build where the pump
pumps the water to the res -.-
damnit ghot just stay away from this kind of stuff

I would go
res>pump>lower rad>GPU>CPU>upper rad>res

that would be ugly with too many tubes. Shortest distance tubing is best for looks and cooling.

Quote (ghot @ 3 Aug 2012 06:17)
bro no offense...but if that's the case  then why even use RADS  ^^

...

Quote (ghot @ 3 Aug 2012 06:26)
then RADS are useless....and should be outside the case...

going from GPU to RAD then CPU has GOT to be cooler for the CPU...and man I'mm glad I use air cooling  lol

It's not cooler bro. The flow rates are so high it doesn't matter.
That and WC is uber fucking expensive... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My though exactly. OH shit! THIS REMINDS ME!! Some guy fucks his pump up by doing his special "method". Hmm... FOUND IT!

Fixed. It won't post but you can click the link now.

i dont think goth can comprehend this

i had same thinking as ghot and i tried both at most the diffrence was 1c which is within margin of error like battleship said aa couple times

d5 pumps 17/m meaning the water is there for a few seconds at best meaning it never has TIME to heat up enough get it?? also for a gpu cpu setup waste of money with 2 rads unless ur going dual gpu and for that u rlly dont need more then a 480 at most single loop cpu gpu = a 240 360 for bit better temps

Well honestly it's more like 0.1C to 0.3C difference.

Because it is funny my friend.

Hell my CPU runs at 37-38C and my GPU 30C both on idle. My water temps? In the res it sits at 27.7C The water is always cooler than the device itself. Derp Derp.
