I've thought this a while... why don't they make laptops that can support 'external' GPUs ? Maybe have them plug into wall power as well- meaning you wouldn't be able to use it while out, but many people play games on their laptops at home so having the extra power plug would be no issue..

that wouldnt be in the interest of alot of companies.

yeah u'd get to keep a notebook for more than a year LOL
