i have two of them, and while there's many disadvantages to a rear proj. tech, for me the pros outweigh the cons, mainly in that they handle motion far, far better than any other LCD & plasma tech that i've since seen.

really tho, i've not had a good chance to do any real hard testing on any of the 3d capable tv's, and if my guesstimation is correct, they can accept a 120Hz signal, which def helps for pc gaming.

other than brightness, i could never buy a rear projection TV, would rather just buy the projector and have an adjustable screen + a device capable of throwing in my car and taking with me to do whatever with


just my 2c, i had a projector for almost 3 years and, other than having to darken the windows in the room on sunny days, it was fantastic

dunno dude, i'll try the warhead one next.

i'm not getting good gpu usage in tri fire; 65/64/66 compared to 99/94/93 which is what i'm seeing durring gameplay.

thinking this one isn't optimized well for tri config, or at least the loop isn't.

even with 8aa?
what was your avrg fps at the end?

dx10 64 mode, 8xAA, everything very high, no vsync, 3 loops overall avg; 54.99

yep, that one brought them up, but it still looks like ass. it can hardly load too. how do you run that one in 64bit mode?

frost and avallanche i got like 70fps in
with no aa though some reason crashes with 8aa for me atm

average on frost was about 89 with no aa. i'll try it with 8x

edit: this one must just be 32bit... that's all i can get it to do with no other option i can see.

i saw a youtube vid of crysis avalanche getting 97fps
i think it was 3 5870s or 2 5970s not sure but had 4aa
