Everyone has their own preferences, I will always be gaming at 1280x1024, if you don't want to help guys I'll go figure stuff myself.
I'll get a 5850, single pcie mobo if I can find one, 965 and I'll put as many fans as I can on my pc.

I can't even wrap my head around why you don't like widescreen or high resolutions. Your explanations make no sense at all.

Ghot wannabe.

Ppl upgrade to Vista/ 7. He stays with Xp

Ppl upgrade to LCD. He stays with CRT.

Ppl upgrade to 240hz 1080p HDTV. He will most likely stay with his tube set.

To the OP:

I upgraded from a 17" (1024x768 iirc, lol) to a 19" 1440x900

At first it was like Whooooooooa

And after the first day of shock, I realized I wanted a bigger screen.

I say get the 30" the first time and save money on the stepping stones.

Thinking back.. i've had a 13", 14", 15", 17", 19", 20", and a 24"

All the money i save by buying the others can go toward a 30" -_-

The only thing I have thought was dual 19" at 1680x1050 (or is it 1650x1080?...either way)... so I can do a movie on one screen and a game or homework on the other.

1440x900 is too cramped.

Lols.. nice way to do homework while watching movies and playing games. I really want a 3x 24" panel setup.

But i lack the desk space.. (and i got one gigantic desk = wtf)

Therefore.. 30" panel. KEKEKE

I'm thinking of going from 2x20.1" @ 1680x1050 to a 24" @ 1920x1200. When you program a lot you start to crave huge amounts of desktop real estate.

Have you ever tried using the snap W7 feature to put a movie, a word document, and a pdf all up on the screen?

Movies tiny...

A big screen is always nice, but if you're coming two from medium size screens I think you'd be disappointed with "only being able to do one thing."
