I'd really like to hear what you guys are running for apps. Right now I'm running Win XP Pro that I customized the shit out of for quick startup/shutdown/suspend to disk with MediaPortal + mp_tray so that my media center remote can start it all.

right now, I'm using boxee for windows alpha. Seems to be working alright for tv streaming. As for blu-ray playback, since vista doesn't support it natively. I'm using cyber dvd9.

Nice build. I'm lollin' hard at the Quantum Fireball. That shit brings me back to 2001.

its slow, but it still works, its the only thing killing my windows score + startup times, but for now it works great for what i need it to (OS)

So what was the total price of the build and what parts are reused?

i didnt re-use anything past the fireball, i think the total build price was like $435-$450 overall, theres a mail-in i still have to get on doing

Nice, how is that harmony remote working out?? I might get one to pair with my diNovo.

What apps are you running for tv?

The remote is great, i dont currently have a receiver for the PC (the first tuner card i bought wasnt low-profile even tho it has a remote)
but its programmed for my TV, sound system, and xbox 360, and it lists at least 200 brands for "media center computer" under the program options
plus for the price i paid, $35, it was bitchin
currently for TV software im just running windows 7 media center software, its only picking up 16 channels (9 before i took out a splitter) so i ordered a signal booster and im crossing my fingers, still looking into better alternatives, i do have sageTV laying around somewhere, and i drive GB-PVR as well as AverMedia and theres a few that are Linux-only as well

I'm going to be moving soon, I should post my setups when I get to my new place. I should have a nice dual monitor arm coming for my 2x Dell LCDs, a new desk and a new entertainment center coming in.

edit: and new couches!

Speaking of 120mm fans, I need to replace all of the 120mm fans in my desktop and media rig with quieter ones. Any recommendations?
