Don't spend the first two years of college struggling because you want to go to a fancy college. Go to a community school then transfer in. You'll save thousands without risking your education. Plus, it's ten times easier to transfer into a school.
Speaking from experience of cost, no I've done well with my grades but I've seen so many fail because they didn't do it. It just does not make sense why to go to a school for the prestige until you're working on your actual graduate.
Well said. I still want CMU, MIT, Stanford, or Berkley.
But I'm on my GI BILL and then Texas gives me more college money with my Hazlewood Act. Maybe when I get my masters. For now UT will suffice.
