there's an insane flac pack on ipt if you have access, like 1000 albums to listen to before you die all FLAC

okay i'm lost.

hooking up my reciever via toslink to my soundcard and i cannot get sound to come out of this thing.

tried different outputs, different settings on the reciever, going straight into my mobo.. cant get it to work.

i'm thinking it's a setting on my receiver that i am overlooking but i cannot see what that is.

reciever is a yamaha htr-6050 and soundcard is a xonar dgx.

any ideas on how to improve sound quality on an mitx mobo?

don't want to spend too much, and i'm only using ath m50s

pci e slot is filled with a gpu

Buy an ASUS DG sound card. They go around $25 and will tremendously improve the sound quality.

it's an mitx board and the pci e slot is filled already - afaik that only leaves usb solutions

or optical?

yeah you can only use an external dac/amp or receiver
