well, it all depends. if he's an artist & using his speakers to help with music creation, buying expensive ones are prob worth it.

And if he's not, and simply likes buying good AV gear (and has the money to do so), then that's fine, too.

If you feel that spending $600 or more on headphones is not worth it, that's fine. But the level of butthurt you get over other people doing so is ridiculous. Because at the end of the day, it's their money, not yours.
