Yet still, we have over-population. :)

Part of evolution though.. make many babies with varying traits from mother and father assembled randomly.
weak ones die off and the strong genes continue. Problem is modern medicine prolonging the weak.

obv theres many other factors but thats the major one imo.

I'm totally aware but we are animals...
in any event the weak would naturally die off and lets seriously think about how
many less people there would be without modern day medicine.

Basically a massive growth over the last 100 years.
When surgeries and proper sterilization and vaccines came into play.

Are your old enough to remember measles was a universal illness that you had to go through, and hope for the best.
Such minor things are fatal without modern medicine like ear infections or the common cold/flu.
Most people don't even know what whooping cough is or how high infant mortality rates were.
Hell antibiotics was a massive break though in 1929.

The shower head in the background is one of the most used things for self pleasure by women.

This was supposed to be a joke. Like how could we have overpopulation if what you said about the shower head was true. :)

But yeah, better medicine, better housing, industrial age...all of it. I was watching the numbers on that world population site, that I linked above...India's population is going UP one baby per second. :)

To be honest...I'm kinda happy I'm an old fart, food is gonna start to be hard to come by, just in the lifetimes of some of the ppl on here. Then it's gonna go downhill fast. You'll have your "survival of the fittest" world again. :(

Personally, I don't think many folk are gonna like it.

I'm aware it's a joke. Was just talking.
But back to my question are you old enough to remember how
much measles and Polo plagued us. Honestly can't recall
When they were no longer seen as a threat.

/e I had Measles when I was very young, so, no problem. Also, because I had the Measles, I can never get them again. Polio was way before my time, as was the Polio vaccine. I got this vaccine when I was a baby.
The Measles vaccine came out in the year 2000. It's two shots...get them both you're 97% protected.

/ee I also had the chicken pox and the mumps while very young, so I can't get them again, either.

Note: You don't want to get ANY of these, as an adult though. ^^

You can contract chicken pox and mumps more then once but it's rare.
Chicken pox can be an issue second time around where mumps is very mild.
