Well after the 7th re-install of Windows...I finally KNOW how to install w/o the reserve partition...easily...it's a free .iso called Mini-Tool Partition Wizard Boot CD.

For anyone, experienced or not..this is the boot CD to have...it even has a graphical interface, works on a bare metal drive.

Side Note:  I THINK I'm finally getting a handle on Windows 7...LOL

I didn't load it at all...it was 29C at 5GHz idle...and vcore was still on auto

/e literally I just turned off Turbo boost and cranked up the multi...RAM is already set at factory specs...all else on auto

/ee But on my 955 C2 stepping it took 3 months of tweaking to even get it to boot into Windows on a 600Mhz OC....this was 800Mhz OC and booted no problem...rest should be easy :)

But I've also read in numerous places...the 5Ghz on a 4170, benches about the same as 4.5Ghz on a 955 or 965... so :/
