lol and spend a lot more on cpu
and a lot more on mobo
which probably means less on gpu

whats wrong with you people

but i do agree about the fans. kind of spent a lot on the fans compared to the rest of the build.

intel boards are on par with amd

like I have said numerous times

time is money too, save time over 6 months you already paid for it

also intel spanks amd in multitasking, http://techreport.com/review/23750/amd-fx-8350-processor-reviewed/9

not gonna argue that
but on a budget, when you wanna play games at good settings, typically someone isn't worrying about multitasking or special needs from an intel for actual work loads.

can't wait till tax time. gonna finally focus on audio. wanted to sooner, but money is tight this year. fiance works PT now and we have a daughter.

in 1-3 yrs
which part is most likely to be replaced, which part is most likely to lose most of its value?
video cards have the shortest user life span in your system

simple example

ok if you cheaped out and didn't buy 2500k in 2011 but went with 6970 cuz you wanted graphical power

2014,are you upgrading both? now?

but if you bought smart and got the 2500k in the first place, you would be still be fine processor wise?

that is a good point sir. but people usually want gaming power NOW, not a longer term investment.

i know what you are saying, i really do, im just saying on a smaller budget people typically aren't going to be happy throwing down over 600$ into something that still wont play the settings they want.

but like i said, i do understand. hell, thats why i've bought some things that don't make sense at time of purchase to some. like a 200$ aluminum case, or a 990fx mobo when using a silly AMD Anthlon II x3 440 lol. planning ahead.
