you DO know how the color temperature works for HiDs, right?
4200k is the purest white light usually available for HiDs, and is the brightest. once you get past 6000k, it gets darker in color, which is softer on the eyes and less output. 6000k is already pretty blue, but 12000k is just gross.

i prefer 3000k on headlights because not everyone uses it, it penetrates better ( more visibility in rain and fog ) and is technically legal ( although i've been pulled over cause the cop didnt know yellow is legal ).

your friend probably has 55watt 12000k bulbs, which is always brighter. its pretty common for HiDs to be in 35watt. in any case, you are silly for buying bulbs that are not HiDs imo.

HiD Nation, 36$ for HiDs in 35watt, plus shipping and tax ( they have specials sometimes like free shipping, or a few bucks off, etc ). i would never spend more then 7$ on some normal bulbs, but thats just me hehe.

i've heard that before. but, all you have to do is unplug everything? i was having troubles on my mazda 3, all the exterior and interior lights flickered when coming to a stop. when i took it in ( actually took it in twice, the first time they were taking too long and it was my fiance there ), i just unplugged my HiDs and slapped stock bulbs in. can they notice a difference? NOPE! although with mine, i left the velcro on the headlight lmao ( i mount ballast right onto the headlight housing with industrial strength velcro ).

I think it matches pretty well with my keyboard.
