You're almost implying that we all don't have individual needs / demands when making purchases, so no, I don't.

To me, spending $600 on a pair of headphones is not really a necessity or "need". Especially when they are not using it for professional work.

Ya, so people have individual requirements. Like I spent close to 20k on a car but some people couldn't justify it.

That's different though (false equivalence). Car is super important to use. Drive to work, run errands, etc. Headphones are just for audio quality (and no professional work) not so much.

What a shit argument that doesn't involve usage , disposable income, priorities, and spending allowances and you claim false equivalencies.

The base argument is money. Money to money. Your opinion on where it should go vs his.

Maybe the car sits in a parking garage all day.
Maybe he hes more then enough disposable income to cover all needs and savings needs and purchase the headphones
Maybe they have headphones on for 6 plus hours a day.
