For 200$ I would say yes. Really depends on usage and preferences. You could always sell the one you don't need anymore after you decide.

altho we would have to pay approx 315$ CAD and pray to not get duties

For 315$ you should be able to get Sennheiser HD600, perhaps cheaper if with discount and at that point I would go to audition them first to decide if it is worth it. For me they would also be 300++ and I can get HD600 for same price or cheaper.
