I hint of extra bass across the mid range.

Oh I see. Where I come from people use the terms warm/bright regarding treble.

only dozen or so on hand now, I do have some others in basement in a box along with other shit like amps, sound cards, cords and etc, i'd say my top are he400 and hd600 rest are pretty much beginner entry level $30-$220 in price rangel, I have borrowed many out and never received them back, think i may just not let anyone use borrow them any more, most disappointing are the ad700s(2nd pair from rma) and hd280s(descent travel ones), really didnt care for my m50s either which nephew uses

Bright is a reference to treble, Dark is a reference to lack of treble.

Warm is pretty much always related to bass.

Makes sense. Except I don't get the connection with warm and bass.

on HeadFi they typically use warm to describe mid's, bass as well but mostly mid range and non-analytical sound.

Extra/harsh treble makes everything sound dark & cold.

An increase of bass across the entire range makes it sound warmer.

Makes sense to me.

My pants are warm. Does this mean I have more bass in the midrange? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
