http://dirtypcbs.com/index.php

10 each 5x5cm PCBs $14 • 10 each 10x10cm PCBs $25
10 pieces, 2 layers, 100% e-test, any color, worldwide shipping included. No Bull...

Fairly typical, pricing is excellent.

Hmm. I might consider them actually. It appears their turn around time is about 8 days where as itead from china is about 30 days. Unfortunately I know if I buy the 10x10 version that I am going to want to redue the entire PCB to make use of the added space lol. I'd end up finding something else to add that I'd never use like a 5 volt regulator with a bypass switch so you can input higher voltages than 6v into the system.

Add a spot for a battery and you've got yourself a mobile charger.

:p

I need to turn some schematics into boards. Breadboard is too noisy, not sure if I should switch from using ExpressPCB to Eagle, KiCad, or even Altium.

I think it might be a good idea to get used to the more professional programs.

I haven't tried the pro applications. For me fritzing does what I need for now. I can't see myself needed more than 2 layers any time in the future.

Just typing that has made you start to think of more complex projects, that will require, 3 and 4 layer PCB's :)

Have you bought from dirtypcb? I've been reading their site and seems like they get discount fab houses to create the patches with cheap materials. I haven't read any reviews yet on the company.

Got my signal up converter today in the mail. I know have my low noise amp as well as the up converter. I just need to wait a few weeks (2-4) for my sma pigtails to come in the mail as well as my power splitter/filter PCB from the fab house.

I need to source some motherboard standoffs though so I can mount all these inside my tin can.

I also sent off my pcb's to the fab house. 14.50$ for 10 boards (+ maybe 2 free) and 5$ shipping. I noticed that for colored pcb only specific colors were at 25$, the good ones were + $5 more then shipping on top of that. I didn't want to spend 35$ for some black pcb's so I choose the cheaper green color.

If you want some stuff to add to the board, could add optoisolation.

CR4 is coming out for the xbox 360 mid October apparently. I am not sure if I want to buy a few or not. They're like 24$ each.
