I know most ppl do...I don't I build for lasting power...If I can't afford to upgrade next cycle..I don't want to have my vid card..or PSU etc die out on me. Anything else...IMO, is just throwing money away...and being the age I am, I already KNOW...that, when I was young and threw money away like that...I'm paying for it now ^^
There used to be a pile of college kids that used to hang out in front of my house about 6-8 years ago, coz one of the neighbors had a college age kid and it's a dead end street,,,and I guess they liked the ...security of the location...LOL
anyways..I sat here and watched...some spent on bling and the bestest and the latest of everything...some spent on longevity...those in the latter group are all in good jobs now, own houses, are married and starting to have their own kids...AND have money to burn ^^
Way back I owned a cabinet shop and ppl used to ask me why I only made furniture and such out of quality hardwoods...they said I could sell more pieces and for cheaper if i used veneered wood products...which was true....BUT over time...through word of mouth...I ended up selling more because ppl knew they ...for example could get falling down drunk ....trip and crash onto a coffee table of mine and it wouldn't break ^^
It's just a philosophy of mine...build things...any things to last for a 100 years ^^
