very interesting, kinda excited for these, was reading a few diy planars which seem simple but dont have equipment to take all measurements

In all honesty, I'd say just put the $$$ Towards better headphones.


However, If you're not happy with the motherboards quality / Loudness.. You could go on the cheap end & pick up a Asus Xonar card for $30~ They're pretty decent.


Or monoprice has a great amp/dac setup for $100

Only time you Get sound card is for inputs outputs, trying to get rid of noise/feedback, or its software like example creatives newer surround software sbx studios pro
Most newer motherboard dacs Are very accurate and software is pretty Good
