I gave up on watches a long time ago. Withe cell phones and cable boxes, etc., that have the correct time always, just seemed that I didn't need a watch anymore.
I also had a tendency to wear watches out fast, when I was working, both in HV electronics and construction.

I know I also like watches, in fact I collect them.
I'm not saying that it was a bad choice to buy a very nice watch, which it is, I was just saying personally I wouldn't spend that much on one watch.
