O2DAC combo is best in price/performance, doesn't matter from what manufacturer you get it as the boards/chips will be the same.

Sound is subjective as every persons hearing is different by nature: different size of head, ears, ear canals and sensitivity of yoru ear drums. All of these effect how you hear, specially with headphones. Also people prefer different things in audio, what I like may differ to what you like and so on. Some like flat response when some prefer V shaped response or boosted bass and what not.

I got a schiit stack, so good with my hd 600

schiit magni/modi is cheaper, especially if you get used, and even more especially if you get the first gen used. it's really hard to beat that, including odac combo.
