Use some imagination....get BOTH the 39" and the 25" counter tops....use the 39" one for the desktop and cut two sections from the 25" one, for two angled mortise and tenon legs.  :D

/e  At least 10x stronger than 4 legs...and looks really cool as well.  ^^

/ee  You could even get more creative and pass the angled legs through the tabletop about 6 inches or so...to hang headphones or other things on them.  You would ofc, need to dowel the angled legs from the sides for strength.

/eee  Even Einstein agrees...see the quote under my sig.  ;)

/eeee  Best part, all ya need is a drill and a chisel.  :)

Those tabletops you linked are pretty pricey compared to the ones I'm using. Also, the ones I'm using are not solid wood. They just look and feel nice. If you cut them open, you're going to have a bad time.

i just ignored his post. trying to over complicate what is suppose to be a cheap, easy and good looking solution. i don't have time to do a bunch of fab work. and i agree, cutting particle board is not a good idea huehue.

You're 100% correct. Too pricey....I just wanted to point out that there are "prettier" ways to make ...table legs. And yes, that would only work with solid wood. ;)

I have looked at those tabletops, but if you're going to spend the money on those bad boys you might as well do a nicer job than those legs. I love me some pinterest, all sorts of ideas on that.

Warn removal denied. How am I supposed to get that trusted tag with this tarnished record?

my two warnings were denied, had to try again like 30 days later. what's the point? laughables.

so hey, was shipping expensive for the IKEA stuff?

It's dependent on what you order I think. I have been spoiled by prime, so I can't say if it's expensive or not.

your amazon prime works for ikea too?

well i'll probably be going with two 47" red linmon tops, one drawer, and six non-adjustable legs. hopefully i don't get raped by shipping.

i like that i can later add another drawer, if need be :)
