It looks open, but it's actually sealed as much as any other case. This pic might be a little clearer.

/e Even if it does have a gap..it won't matter. Back is all exhaust, or should be.


/ee I think you're right. It looks like about an 1/8th inch gap. Metal plate and fixed O-ring, probably to keep noise down.
