Where do they get 600 from? You get 1200 to help you pay your debt such as rent, mortgage, food, utilities, etc. Then you 500 per kid to help with that. Unemployment is a measly 1000 bucks or some garbage. Most people make that more a month and so would probably rather be back at work.

TRUMP IS NOT MY PRESIDENT AND THIS CHECK ISN'T MINE EITHER. :P

The unemployment thing is $600/week, for four month ABOVE the normal unemployment check.

be aware that you stimulus checks will be taxed!!!
roughly 400-600
there has not been any tax deducted from it.
It will hit you hard come tax day. Make sure to save!

So far it's a one time check.

If EI is Unemployment... it's based on your salary, then because of CV 19, they add $600/week to that. That lasts for 4 months.

I have no idea. I was only on Unemployment for about two weeks, about 40 years ago.
