no, the cpu is cooled just fine, delidded, undervolted to 1.17v at 4.5ghz.

Your best bet would be the upcoming i9 9900k with high TDP Cooler.
ipc clock for clock seems about even with amd behind by a small margin but 2x the cores/threads
if my ipc goes down a little i ain't gonna die.
