I would still pick the HD6XX. HE400i vs K7XX is harder pick, they are different but hard to say wich I like more.

Thanks everyone for input. assuming theres nothing else to debate about the different AKG versions, what about comparing the AKG headphones to the Sennhesier 6xx on massdrop? its $200. So all around the same price point and all will require a similar amplifier. both are open headphones. and only want for music listening to many genres.

Damn son. I love that orange and black.

The K712 are supposed to have 3dbs higher on the lower end of the scale. 3 dbs of more bass so year. They might even sound punchy but I doubt it.

Only the K712s have higher bass than the Q701.
