So what I’m hearing is it’ll die when it dies.

Probs should’ve gotten the 16gb, don’t need 64. Specially since it’s 2.0. And I have two of them.

The point is to have portable reliable storage though.

I will be getting a proper external storage solution setup as well, but that serves a different purpose: To store all files, and build up a database for what I’m doing. That’ll require a number of SSD’s and won’t be particularly cheap, given what I want (multi stage backups to protect against failure or sleeper encryption attacks/etc, and super fast read/write for a flexible range of uses by a number of inefficient programs). The USB sticks are just like a portable file folder, small, important, but not everything, just what I want with me all the time.
