Let's use some logic here. Buys a 130 dollar CPU cause they think it's good. Then spends much more money on a monitor and possibly a 1070 at best. If you're so strapped for cash that 200 dollars is a deal breaker then I 100% doubt you will be able to get into 1440p with decent frames.

If you are on 1080p that means your budget has a hard cap. Say $1200 (torrent Windows and monitor/periphs not included). That a fair midrange build. Maybe even somewhat high budget, yeah?

What I'm saying is, if your budget is any number less than $1400, a 7700k is stupid. You make savings on the processor and go up a tier on the video card. All I'm saying is that a 7700k is a bad buy and it wouldn't even be 1st on that list on Amazon if it hadn't been released 3-4 months before Ryzen.
