I saw that one. But when you post one that's over what I want to pay and say "this one to be exact" it sounds pretty stupid on your part. I guess I could say: "damn, dude. You can't follow simple direction?" :Bonk:

"This one to be exact" means that's the one I bought. Unless you take just that phrase out of context. :)

Is it to you? Why even post your desk if it's over what I want to pay? You're implying at that point...

No, I was implying that that company does have some good desks ALSO....and you didn't seem too impressed with the IKEA suggestion made by someone else.

/e Hell if OI was still in Calli or the "west coast" I would just MAKE a computer desk out of 2x12 redwood.
It would take me about an hour with just a circular saw and a drill.

They are all particle board POSs. At $300 that's all you will find these days.
Unless....you go with the edit above.

By way of example...here is Amish, solid wood furniture....which is an option we east coaster have...

Here's an example...and this is one of the cheaper options...

Solid, solid wood, and actually made of real wooden planks from a tree...are NOT the same thing.

Particle board can be considered solid wood...even though it really isn't. At least by those evil marketing depts.

Any real solid wood (as in planks) furniture will cost in the $1000's at the low end.

Not SOLID, SOLID wood but way denser and heavier than normal particle board. Also, fucking LOL @ the price on that tiny desk. FUCK.THAT.

I spent 20 years living in Cali. Anytime I wanted real wood furniture, on a budget, I went with redwood.

It's easy to work, and on the west coast anyways...it's cheap. With the right finish, it's also gorgeous.

/e Like check this out...

Get two identical 3 drawer file cabinets, 29" high. Then get two 2' x 12" redwood boards (any length) up to about 8 ft. long...edge glue them together to make a 2" x 24" plank.

Then just put the plank on top of the 3 drawer file cabinets.

/ee There are many places with commercial thickness sanders that will, for a small price, sand your new redwood 2x24 or 2x36 plank on all four sides for you.
