Why the shit would you ever need physical knobs or sliders for your fans? That's so much more of a pain in the ass than using software to control them.

Why do you need this? What situation is this even remotely relevant? You set a custom fan curve in BIOS one time and should never need to do this...

not all bios's support custom fan curves nor could my mobo support all my case fans.
Not everyone has your particular setup.
