Because they fail to saturate more than 8 pcie lanes and people then try to use it as evidence that gpu's cant saturate more than 8 pcie lanes. It's absurd, like using a single thread benchmark to show that more cores don't mean anything.

I don't even know why people consider the xeon e7 8990 v2 when the gt 1030 brings more performance for 1/100th the cost
