i got it to give one short beep


which im pretty sure means normal post

but still no output (this is whitout GPU in and only one stick of ram)

what cable are you connecting to the onboard gpu?

hdmi

did he change source on monitor to be hdmi input?
has he tried that pci gpu yet he said he had?

he said he was going to put r9 290x in but never heard what he did and i dont think he did the first thing

tbh idk what the issue was

if anyone remembers i sold this 290x online and had it returned to me because the person i sold it to said their system would not post

when i got it back and put it in my pc it booted fine

when i put it in my new pc tonight it would not post, and when i took it out and booted the PC minus GPU it gave the VGA error light (no gpu)

i pulled my 1070 and put it in my new build and it immediately worked.....


put the 290x back into my current pc (fx 8320e) and it boots fine

and now it works?
but also you put it back into your current pc and it is working fine now too?
so do you have 2 pcs right now both working one with a 1070 and the other with a 290x?
