Huge spark arced across my motherboard when I was taking out a graphics card. Like blue arc level of power with a loud pop.

Computer didn't turn on at first *Shit bricks* cleared CMOS and it said "OVERCLOCK FAILED" the computer rebooted itself and the comp has been running fine since 2013.

That's why you buy a decent motherboard meant for overclocking so it has fail safes against random currents going where they shouldn't.

Yes the computer was unplugged and i made sure to ground myself before i began, I forgot to hold down the power button on the comp to discharge everything from the system though which is what likely caused this.

gigabyte "ULTRA DURABLE" this is what comes to mind

to clarify

the small units in the middle here. lost like 3 of them.

The cpu is still running fine. No blue screens whatsoever. Not entirely sure what those do, and I'm not gonna find out unless you tell me

They called resistors and capacitors.
if you truly broke them idk how it functioned correctly.
