See my edit above.

Also, you are trying to do a weird thing on a prebuilt comp?, supposedly already RAIDed, even though your manual doesn't mention RAID at all.

I would just call ASUS tech support.

Here is the number for the motherboard tech support...in Canada

Component Product Support:
1-812-282-2787
Available

Monday – Friday, 5:30AM – 11:00PM PST

Saturday – Sunday, 6:00AM – 3:00PM PST

/e If that computer was purchased prebuilt...tell them. Also tell them the model of the motherboard. Tell them about the RAID? and the PCI-E SSD as well.

No I built this comp myself, but the SSD I bought off jsp. The person that sold it to me said it was never used and from what I was reading else where it originally came with "built in raid 0".

Wait, is raid coming from the motherboard or SSD? I also got my motherboard used off "the internet" But ya I'll probably call them tomorrow.

RAID is a motherboard driver function. But usually it tells you how to set it up in ASUS motherboard manuals.

Your SSD is just TWO SSD's on one circuit board. You still need to set up RAID (with motherboard drivers) for it to work.

/e I just looked in my ASUS AM3+ motherboard manual...there is a whole section on RAID. Maybe your motherboard doesn't support RAID? The manual for your motherboard, doesn't mention RAID at all.
I've never seen an ASUS motherboard manual of any kind, that doesn't have RAID instructions.

Easiest way is to just call ASUS tech support. They will close in 2 hours. <--- its free.
