Oak base made of 2" thick oak. Height would be w/e height you need. Length is from the front rubber things to the rear rubber things.

Or like Art said...get casters rated for the weight. You should be able to get threaded ones. They would have probably 3" height or more.

theres casters that can hold the weight. may run you 30$ or so but yes it can be done.
This way is easy and requires much less tools and no threading and such.

yea that actually seems pretty cool. cause 1 inch of wood, and the casters prob a few inches, will raise it. and i can move it around if needed
but u think $30 for a set of 4? or $30 per caster?
if its 30 for each one then way out of my budget for this lol
i think the wood should be just a few bucks, and then the drill attachment might cost under $10. so id expect around $40-50 total for everything? a bit more expensive than i would like but it should be worth it

Here is even a place to buy heavy duty casters...

Here is a set of 4 heavy duty caster that just happen to be 3/8-16... rubber locking wheels...

Wood I'm sure you could source free, check Craigslist in free section.
Casters should be 10$ per/set for 30$. Just look for locking and the correct weight.
Hardware 2-5$. Could source the drill bit from a neighbor or friend also.

/edit
Actually this is what I was planning to do once I order my standing desk.

So just drill and tap the 3/8-16 holes in the feet (where the rubber things are) then just screw these suckers in. They will raise the chair 3 inches. :)

i think i should first drill in a piece of wood, and then the casters into the wood right? this would give it a bit more support? the metal underneath the recliner chair is pretty think and might need some reinforcing

No. It won't give more support. You still have to attach the wood to those little feet (where the rubber things are).

I've found heavy duty threaded casters with 3", 4", 5" diameter wheels.

/e I've also found many with less height, but I assumed you wanted height.

/e Remember these will have to hold the weight of the chair and the person sitting in it...plus a bit extra.
