People just gotta buy velour ear pads with their M50, or Audio Technica should change to velour pads out of the box with their next line. I find the M50 with the new velour pads way more comfortable than the DT770. It is what it is.

DT770 is has more of a V-shape sound signature. Wasn't a fan of the highs. Isolation was pretty bad when I tried them.

dt770's are supposed to be pretty neutral. I only listened to a pair for a single song, So idr what they sound like tbh.

990's have a huge V shape though

fischer clones are extremely recomended for $100~ range. There's a like 800+ page thread on them on hifi with the claim 'neutral champs' :lol:
