Check.... VIEW > Select Columns

Make sure Description is check marked.

Here is a pic of the Win 7 Task Manager. You can tell which processes are Windows processes, from the Description.
I also circled them in RED for you.

/e The Performance tab should also be helpful for your...."math". :)

Well damn woops "users" tab doesn't include a bunch of global processes... but it still doesn't work out. Not even close to 1765 MB worth are left over in details breakdown.

Do you have 4 or 8 GB RAM for that 21% SS?

I have 16GB of RAM, and my OS plus my AV and EVGA Precision and AIDA64 are using 21% of my 16GB of RAM.
The "Performance" tab shows all these things are using 3.48GB of RAM....which IS 21% of 16GB.

1,163,000 K = 3.48 GB now???
This is what I'm getting at.. performance report and sum of process breakdown leaves out phantom what?
I wanna know if this phantom what can be displayed.

No. My OS and AV and EVGA Precision and AIDA64 and Acronis, are using 3.4GB of RAM, which happens to be 21% of my 16GB of installed RAM.

/e YOUR ....OS and w/e else you have running on your C: drive is using 18% of your 16GB of RAM.

NVM I found the question I've got on google and it led me to the next 3 hours of my life learning some things about memory

Yeah it does. But you obviously think something weird is going on, so you should get the free program: Process Explorer

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer.aspx

This will tell you far more about your running processes, than Task manager ever could. ;)
