Again I dont think you gents are catching what I'm trying to do, I'm saying make a simple cable exchange to test his cable/modem, to rule out both cable and modem being bad, then from there if it still causes issues then replace the router.
Go through all my post, every1 else is so side tracked, yet I'm the only one still trying to fix this persons issue. Nobody I mean nobody else in this thread has even gave him a remote effort in trying to resolve his issue witout spending money, yes tell me I'm the stupid one for not knowing my shit. Your right. I know nothing.
If he wants to add signal strength to his system, he would have to install a WAP or a antenna this is correct, but if you read this is happening with him sitting right next to his Router...... You guys are the ones who are way off topic and aren't trying to resolve his issues.
90% of the time Poor wifi speed is due to wifi channels being overpopulated. (Said this in my second post in this thread)
You're not the only one trying to help, If anything your 'help' is detrimental to the issue.
How are you "trying to resolve the issue without spending money" When you're telling him to buy a cat6 cable lol
He NEVER said it was happening when he was sitting next to his router... You need to learn how to read.
