Windows 10 you have to purchase now, they stopped this July 29th for the free editions of Windows 10, if you didn't get it at that point you now have to pay for it, THAT being said you can still install windows 10 onto a pc without a activation key, but in-order to recieve updates you need to purchase a Windows 10 key. Much like Windows 7 if you don't have a key or lost it, you would have to buy another. Unless your like me and save all the keys of bad laptops, because you then have keys that are still valid on fresh installs, this doesnt apply to Windows 10, this is based on the MOBO and after you install windows 10, it registers your mobo to the Windows key thats assigned to your email. When you sign into your windows account after a fresh install you will have to remove the old PC from your Microsfot account to obtain the key that was tied to the old machine, then resign the new install to windows which will Activate it.

The other thing that concerns me with the pc is the temps of everything, I would look at the avg temps for your processor/GPU it could explain to why its running poorly as well, here is a SS of my current temps

Ty, hopefully they are checking the heat on that machine, with it running in the 60+'s I would be afriad of overheating it. If whoever resolved this should send that message forward letting them know to try to give it extra cooling would be beneficial

laptops generally run hotter then the desktop counter parts with that being said her temps were fine.
The tjunction is 100 C on those mobile cpu's. so as long as she does not exceed 90 she'll be fine.
those were not idle recordings either and the machine was bogged down with a ton of shit.
