true that android os does similar
but its new for windows to try something so tricky like this

regardless it is extremely tricky. most people would just immediately click on the X and not read the wording.

its just not expected with windows. and well windows clearly has a benefit when more users switch to windows 10. nothing is really free with windows 10. sure the initial upgrade is free, but microsoft profits more when people upgrade to windows 10, than if they were to stay on windows 7 or 8

Yes they want part of the micro transaction market
What's the big deal when everyother os is?

that they are super shady about the upgrade in order to reap a larger benefit for themselves. when most people already paid to get the operating system. like when i built my desktop, i had to spend around 100 bucks for windows 7. to be fair, yes people could revert back to their previous windows after upgrading to windows 10, if within like 30 days or so. but there were some things that may have been lost when upgrade then downgrade. as well as the time it would take to revert, over one accidental click and then it upgrades......

but since u mentioned phones. ive never heard of a phone operating system costing money to initially use? yet i bought the operating system for windows 7. so others like me should not have to deal with petty tricks.
im sure there may have been other reasons why microsoft wanted to do this, other than micro transactions, although it was probably a big reason.

maybe a horrible analogy but fk it, let me try... lol

so ummmmm lets say u buy a 2016 toyota model x. then toyota comes out with a new model car that is a 2017 model y. newer and slightly different car. but they somehow trick you into getting their new 2017 model y car when you bring it in for a free oil change, they "accidentally" break some component. which they will fix the component they broke on "accident" for free, but it will take 20 days to fix, and in the meantime you must drive their new 2017 model y car. so yes you get the chance to get your old car back, but you must spend a bit of time dealing with the new car that you may not have wanted, but was sort of forced upon you. and somehow toyota profits from this idk........

great analogy right? lol meh maybe not, but whatever i tried
