What? An XPS15 with similar hardware to a MBP runs about 1450 new compared to 1999 minimum. The main difference is the MBP has a resolution of 2880x1800 compared to 1080p on the XPS15. The XPS15 has an IPS panel too. You can get an XPS15 with a 4k screen for 50 more than the MBP.
As an added benefit, the XPS15 has a 6th gen i7 processor while MBP's still use 4th gen. The XPS15 also has a dedicated gpu which may or may not benefit you already factored into the price vs the Iris Pro on the MBP.
This is the most fair comparison, so as I was saying... the Dell XPS costs 50 dollars more than the Macbook.
Yes it has a better CPU... but the mousepad on the Macbook is VASTLY superior. But then again the XPS has infinity edge display.... But then again the Macbook has slightly better battery life...
I could go on. Overall, they're more or less the same, and cost more or less the same. I have my priorities so I'd choose a Macbook over an XPS any day of the week.
One thing is clear, and that is that the Macbook is NOT overpriced.
